Quite a lot went on this summer here at Revolution. There were new sections of the park, demos, jams, a reunion, a birthday and couple of calls from the neighbours asking us to keep the noise down. (Sorry)...
The outside area was rebuilt during May, ready for the upcoming Summer events schedule. All of the central section was replaced with a hump, spine and driveway, while the opposing sides were turned into long quarterpipes. The Summer kicked off with the Relentless "Ride With Us" Tour which was an entirely free 4 hour session for anyone to come and Skate with the Pro's.

The first phase of our Streetcourse build started in early July as we added a brand new section to the left hand side of the park. The old roll-in had had it's day and got replaced with a swanky new step up and flat bank which has proved to be super popular with everyone.
Shortly after, we celebrated our 12th Birthday which was an all day event for everyone. We had loads of events throughout the day, the high point being a Scooter Competition which saw some insane scooting.
For everyone starting their Summer Holidays, we decided to give everyone some discount sessions in the weekday evenings. We created a temporary 7 to 10 session for a fiver and it went down a treat. So much so, that we'll be doing it again for every school weekday holiday.
As some of you may know, we also run a Surf Hire and School from Broadstairs main beach. This year, we also started offering 3 seat Ocean Kayaks for hire which were the first of their kind to be available in the area.
All throughout the Summer, we ran our regular Beginner Skate Days which gives kids the chance to experience the Skatepark under the watchful eye of an Instructor. We also ran our Summer Skate Camp again this year which was a total blast for everyone. Check out the video to see for yourself!
The scooter thing went into overdrive this Summer with every man and his dog wanting one of the new Madd or Razors scooters.
Both the Madd and Razors team stopped by for a visit and a quick demo which saw Terry Price doing insane stuff over the Deathbox.
So that's about it.
Another Summer draws to a close. Rest assured though, that we'll be pushing more events for the rest of the year and hopefully make next Summer an even bigger blast than this one!
Revolution Skatepark first opened early in 1998 due to the high demand from Skateboarders, Inliners and BMX'ers from all over Kent. It has been designed to suit all levels of ability and ages. Challenging, without compromising safety.
